Combi Boilers (Combination Boilers)
Combi boilers are compact and efficient, providing heating and hot water directly from the boiler without the need for a separate cylinder or water tank. Ideal for smaller homes or flats with limited space, they only heat the water you need, which helps reduce energy bills.
System Boilers
System boilers use a separate hot water cylinder to store water but don’t require a cold water tank. This means they can supply hot water to multiple taps at once, making them a great option for larger homes with more than one bathroom. Many key components are built into the boiler itself, helping with installation and reliability.
Conventional Boilers (Regular or Heat-Only Boilers)
Conventional boilers work with a separate hot water cylinder and a cold water tank, usually placed in the loft. They’re ideal for homes with traditional heating systems or low water pressure and can support high hot water demand across several outlets.

How long does a boiler installation take?
Typically, a like-for-like boiler replacement takes 1–2 days. A full system conversion (e.g. from a conventional boiler to a combi) can take 2–4 days.
Do I need to replace my radiators too?
Not always. If your radiators are old or inefficient, it may be worth replacing them to get the best performance from your new boiler.
Will I be without heating or hot water during the installation?
Yes, for a short period. However, we aim to minimise disruption and often get heating back up the same day.
Are your installers Gas Safe registered?
Absolutely. All of our engineers are fully qualified and Gas Safe registered for your safety and peace of mind.
